A Man’s Search For Meaning is a book about hope. The book is a collection of thoughts & actions taken by the author, who himself was in a Nazi concentration camp during the world war. There are many stories written about the harsh & unimaginable conditions of the camp.

The author narrates his side of the story & how he tried to keep his spirit high amidst the certainty of the death. The book is divided into 2 parts. In first, the author tells his days in the concentration camp & second part explains his working on the theory logotherapy.

This book is probably in the list of the most motivational books of the era. There are a few outstanding points in the book which are worth reading again & again.

He who has a why to live can bear almost any how

A hope can help you find the meaning even in the suffering

Don’t aim at success, the more you aim at it & make it a target, the more you will miss it.

A man suffering is similar to the behavior of gas. If certain quantity of gas is pumped into the empty chamber, it will fill the chamber completely & evenly.

Life is like being at the dentist. You always think that the worse is still to come, & yet it is already over.
