A graphic novel by Charlie Mackesy stores years of knowledge & caters to every age group. One of the best books I read in recent time. The simplicity of this book but the lessons it shares is mind-blowing. A rare combination of lines & knowledge, the author talks about the complex topics in a very simple, sweet & funny manner. Everyone should get their hand on this book. It is a must in today’s life. Also, the book is hardly dense in terms of pages. One can scroll through the pages & gain a massive amount of information. The book starts with the boy meeting the mole & their journey. While roaming through nature, they meet The Fox. Now, these three continue on their journey & stumble upon the horse. Thus, the book got its name, “The boy, The mole, The fox & The horse.” The book is a collection of quotes that should be printed & pasted on the wall just to be revisited daily. Some of the best quotes from the book “The Boy, The Mole, The Fox & The Horse” are as follows.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

- “Kind,” said the boy.

“What do you think is the biggest waste of time?”

-”Comparing yourself to the others,” said the mole

“Most of the old moles I know wish they had listened less to their fears & more to their dreams.”

“One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things.”

“Tears fall for a reason & they are your strength, not weakness.”

“When have you been at your strongest?” asked the boy.

-” When I have dared to show my weakness.”

“Sometimes”, said the horse.

-” Sometimes what?” asked the boy.

-” Sometimes just getting up & carrying on is brave & magnificent.”

“The greatest illusion”, said the mole.

-” Is that life should be perfect”

“What do we do when our hearts hurt?” asked the boy.

” We wrap them with friendship, shared tears & time, till they make hopeful & happy again.”

These are some of the best quotes in the book, the book is full of such quotes. There are so many great lessons to learn from the book “The boy, The mole, The fox & The horse.
